And I pray that you, being
rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp
how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be
filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
We may not ever
really grasp how much God loves us until we see Him face-to-face and experience
that love fully without the veil of sin and flesh between us. But it’s far more than the love we ever
experience with anyone on this worth—greater than a spouse, a child, a parent
and, yes, even a pet.
We know that God
loved us so much He allowed Himself (His son) to die for us. He created a beautiful world for us to live
in. He listens to our prayers and
answers them. He surrounds us with
fellow believers.
So the question
isn’t how much does God love us, but how much do we love God?
