Then we will no
longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there
by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their
deceitful scheming. Ephesians 4:14
Some remain a
baby Christian because they’ve been deceived to think that’s all they can
be. Many refuse to grow up because it
means increased responsibility (more work).
Let’s be honest, others are lazy.
Paul, here, points out the deceitfulness of some to keep the Christians
immature and reliant on cunning leaders who keep others under their thumb.
We must grow up
and move out on our own, putting the work into our faith and taking on the
responsibility that comes with it.
