The
priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma. All
the fat is the Lord’s. Leviticus 3:16
The
aroma God loved was the smell of sacrifices dying for sins and the dedication
of the people to be obedient and cleansing themselves of the sins that
separated them from God. It pleased God
because the people were actively rectifying the problem by obediently following
God’s orders.
