The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his
servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to
his servant John… Revelation 1:1
An angel told John that he was to write down everything
about what was going to going to take place.
It was written to the seven churches in Asia so they could get a fresh perspective
on Jesus and do a better job reaching people.
“Write
on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna,
Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.” Revelation 1:11
It
is a letter written to all churches to do better because one day Jesus will
return and then it will be too late.
