This is what the Lord says—
your
Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.
Your descendants would have been like the sand,
your children like its numberless grains;
their name would never be blotted out
nor destroyed from before me.” Isaiah 48:17-19

God has a perfect plan for your
life, but he knows sin will ruin that plan.
If only we had paid attention to his commands would we experience that
peace of knowing our life is flowing in the right direction. Unfortunately, our stubbornness, like Israel
in the Old Testament, diverts that plan.
God still rescues us and tries to get us back on course. It’s a struggle, yes, but he overcomes any
obstacles so we can get back to the original plan.
