To the married
I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her
husband. But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else
be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. 1 Corinthians
7:10-11
It’s
never good for a couple to separate, however, it may have some benefits. To just run away from a problem never solves
the problem, but if the couple separates, prays, fasts, seeks the Lord, it
could definitely have tremendous benefits.
Finding another capable mate during the break from each other never
turns out well.
If
the goal of separation is reconciliation, then the separation could be very
good.
