Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” Mark 1:35-37

            It seems odd that God needed to get away, but remember, Jesus willingly confined himself to a limited body.  It shows that living in these human bodies has limits and we need rest and solitude to refresh.

            Jesus also wanted to give an example of what we need to do in our lives spiritually, by getting away and talking to God.
