Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.” Mark 12:24-25

            Jesus said no.  If married in heaven, you would be responsible for the love and care of that person.  In heaven, God is the center of all our relationships.  On earth, marriage is symbolical of our relationship with God—our intimacy, passion, and exclusive relationship.  Once in heaven, our primary relationship is with God.  It doesn’t mean we won’t recognize people or our spouse, children and parents, but the Lord supersedes any other relationship we’ve ever had.
