A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand
and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Matthew 8:2-3
God
wants everyone to be healed. All
sickness is a result of the sin in the garden of Eden. Sickness was not a part of God’s plan but a
consequence of sin.
Jesus will bring total
healing to earth when he returns and the resurrection happens for all. When someone dies, they receive healing by
leaving these cancerous, failing bodies in the grave. But, is God willing to heal you now while
you’re on earth? That is up to him. Good Christians die of cancer. That’s a part of the world. God can use death for his purposes.
He wants to heal you, but
right now, your sickness may be part of his will for a greater purpose.
