“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” Matthew 7:21-23
Sadly, no. Not every church-goer goes to heaven. Church is a place one is physically present,
maybe weekly. What God wants is your
heart, your will, your mind. People can
be physically present but that’s all. No
other part of them is truly there for God, only for themselves.
Some go to church
because of others in the family. Some go
out of habit and tradition. Some go to
get something out of it, a sense of accomplishment or community service. You should only be in church because God
wants you there and you want to serve God with all that you have. You must be part of God’s family first. That’s how God will know you.
