“If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere. Luke 9:5-6

            Yes.  It’s saying that you don’t want any part of the city, even its dirt, on the dirtiest part of you, your shoe.  But, it’s also a psychological strategy to “shake it off” and move on, not letting the discouragement of the moment hold you back.
