Blessed are you when people hate you,

    when they exclude you and insult you
    and reject your name as evil,
        because of the Son of Man. Luke 6:22

            When you are persecuted and hated, it is not a happy time.  But Jesus asked if you could change your perspective on it and see why you are being hated.  You should be happy if you are being persecuted because of your love for the Son of Man. If your stance on Jesus has caused division in your world, Jesus said, “Good, now you are like me because that’s exactly what happened to me.”  He shows appreciation for our willingness to sacrifice ourselves for a greater cause, just as he did.
